I had an interesting thought the other day.\u00c2\u00a0 Does anyone use eBay<\/a> to sell their properties?\u00c2\u00a0 So I checked to see if there were any BC listings.\u00c2\u00a0 Currently, there are 3, except 1 is for a time share in Whistler.\u00c2\u00a0 So actually, there\u00c2\u00a0are only two.\u00c2\u00a0 The marketing genius that posted the first listing\u00c2\u00a0has advertised it as an anti-earthquake building<\/a> on Georgia Street with a nice view of town and North Vancouver.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0The ad does not show any pictures.\u00c2\u00a0 Not a chance this will sell.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

The second\u00c2\u00a0property is much more interesting.\u00c2\u00a0 It is for a custom built rancher<\/a> on a half acre, close to the ocean, located somewhere on Vancouver Island.\u00c2\u00a0 The property comes with a 26 foot Bayline boat, a truck and 2 ATVs.\u00c2\u00a0 There are a hanfdul of really nice pictures.\u00c2\u00a0 An realtor would consider this\u00c2\u00a0property\u00c2\u00a0to be\u00c2\u00a0a very marketable listing.<\/p>\n

Unlike other auctions, a real estate listing lasts for 90 days.\u00c2\u00a0 Anyone familiar with eBay will know that sellers are able to set a minimum price.\u00c2\u00a0 If that reserve price is not met, then the seller is not obligated to complete the transaction.\u00c2\u00a0 I am curious why someone would choose to use eBay to sell their home.\u00c2\u00a0 I will continue to watch this with great interest.\u00c2\u00a0 The auction is scheduled to last for another 80 days.<\/p>\n
