Busiest Client

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Jill Pennefather has been busy lately.  On Wednesday, we will be shooting our 3rd video for Jill in the last 2 weeks.  I would like to think that since she started using video for her listings, business is picking up.  Here is a sample of her 4 existing listings:

2188 West 13th Avenue
106 - 1859 Spyglass Place
3935 West 32nd Avenue
110 - 1777 West 13th Avenue

Vancouver’s Staging Companies

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

From what I have seen since arriving in Vancouver, there are 3 major home staging companies, REVAMP Homestaging, DEKORA and Urban Remix.  This week we had contact with both REVAMP and DEKORA.  We were working with the DEKORA staff at 4716 Belmont in Point Grey.  We also re-shot a penthouse at 1102 - 1650 West 7th for Ken Leong.  We originally produced a video for Maria at Ken Leong’s office about 2 months ago.  At the time, the penthouse was not staged.  On Thursday when I walked through the door, it looked like a completely different place.  It was beautifully decorated, modern, hip cool.  A perfect setting for that particular condo.  Maria told me that REVAMP had staged the condo.

I sent off the pictures and video to REVAMP and Michael McNamara, one of the co-owners wrote back:

Great work with the photography and the videos - very impressive … We also love the video and pics from 937 Homer Street.

I hope that we will get a chance to meet both Michael and Rien.  Here are 2 videos where REVAMP did the staging:

We have also had the opportunity to work with Urban Remix.  You can find one of our videos that we produced for Zygmunt and Kasha Riddle (www.riddle-realestate.com) on the Urban Remix website.

Welcome Team Andruff

Saturday, July 29th, 2006

We would like to welcome Mike Andruff and his team (www.teamandruff.ca) to the Video Openhouse family!  We had a chance to meet Mike at our last video shoot.  Ron and I were half an hour late to the appointment because we didn’t know that Surrey includes White Rock!  What we thought was a half an hour drive turned out to be an hour.  We are still figuring out how to get around the lower mainland.  We get lost at least once a week.

Here are Team Andruff’s new videos:

2560 West 3rd Avenue and 106 - 1744 128 Street

One more thing, Susan Man from Prompton Real Estate Services has a new website (www.susanmanhomes.com).

Good Luck with the site Susan!

Pushing Boundaries

Friday, July 28th, 2006

I spoke with Jim Noonan (www.jimnoonan.net) today.  We are booked in for a video shoot Saturday morning.  I always enjoy working with Jim.  He knows exactly what he wants and he has some very creative ideas.  Jims videos are fresh and push the boundaries of the standard real estate video.

Here is a great video of a Sub-Penthouse in New Westminster with a 2400 square foot patio that we shot for Jim about a month ago.  Check it out:

Ubertor’s Comparables

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

I read in yesterdays business section of the Vancouver Sun, an article about a new feature that ubertor has in development that will allow users of any ubertor-driven realtor website to quickly see the location of other ubertor (www.ubertor.com) listings on a map provided by google.  The Sun provided a link to an example on Andrew Hasman’s website (http://www.andrewhasman.com/ViewProperty/115) that had a link to our video for a Richards Street condo literally right beside the comparables tab!  Great exposure for us!

Favourite Video

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

Ron and I were discussing our favourite videos that we have produced earlier today.  My favourite is the Bowser Beach Video (www.bowserbeachhouse.com) that we did for Andrew Hasman (www.andrewhasman.com).  We had produced about 5 or 6 videos for Andrew and he asked us if we would be interested in filming his vacation rental property about 45 minutes north of Nanaimo.  It was an absolutely beautiful day and the shots turned out great.  Ron did a great job editting the video together.  Please have a look and tell us what you think:

Welcome Realtyline

Monday, July 24th, 2006

Last week we shot a video for Andrew Chan.  Andrew is the owner/broker for Realtyline (http://www.realtyline.ca/).  His listing was on a hill in Mackenzie Heights that had some incredible views of the North Shore and Downtown.  Check out the video:

4333 Mackenzie Street

We originally shot on a cloudy day.  I was glad we were able to go back to the property to re-shoot the view because it was spectacular!  Welcome aboard Andrew!
